When she wakes up, she finds herself in a mysterious world. Trains are running on the water, and beside them, beautiful whales are swimming. It’s a place she’s never seen before. When her train gets to the station, and she leaves the turnstiles, she finds herself in the Ikebukuro she knows so well! But something’s different.
As she nervously wanders around the city, she meets GiMON, who calls himself this world’s guide. GiMON says that she’s at the "World Border" and tries to get her to open a door that he says will lead her to any world she wants to go to.
A mysterious girl called Kiku stops her, and she tells her that the real exit from the World Border is a place called the Forgotten Things Counter. When she gets there, she’ll have to share with it a treasured lost memory and her strong desire to return home.
Together with GiMON and Kiku, she finds the Forgotten Things Counter, but for some reason, she doesn’t know what her treasured memory is. When she can’t answer, the two of them disappear.

After the defeat of the demon lord Hadlar, all of the monsters were unleashed from his evil will and moved to the island of Delmurin to live in peace. Dai is the only human living on the island. He gets to become one when Hadlar is resurrected and the previous hero, Avan, comes to train Dai to help in the battle. But Hadlar, announcing that he now works for an even more powerful demon lord, comes to kill Avan. To save his students, Avan uses a Self-Sacrifice spell to attack, but is unable to defeat Hadlar. When it seems that Dai and Avan's other student Pop are doomed, a mark appears on Dai's forehead and he suddenly gains super powers and is able to fend off Hadlar. The two students then go off on a journey to avenge Avan and bring peace back to the world.

Having moved back to Japan from abroad, Rinku Aimoto transfers to Yoba Academy where DJing is popular. She is deeply moved by a DJ concert she sees there, and decides to form a unit of her own with Maho Akashi, Muni Ohnaruto, and Rei Togetsu.
While interacting with the other DJ units like Peaky P-key and Photon Maiden, Rinku and her friends aim for the high stage!

The film focuses on the theme of a "human raised by Pokémon," instead of the previous films' focus of the "bond between a human trainer and their Pokémon."
